The Knights led by only two at halftime, 31 to 29, before a late defensive stance with the score tied at 54 forced Culinary into four turnovers resulting in a 15-5 run to give the Knights a 69-59 advantage and putting the game out of reach.
Four Berkeley players finished in double digit scoring. Damir Redzepagic (Cardinal Spellman/Bronx, NY) had a double-double, leading all scorers with 21 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Teammates Keith Myrick (Hamden/Hamden, CT) and Isaiah Didier (Sheepshead Bay/Brooklyn, NY), both instrumental during Berkeley’s late run, scored 17 points and 14 points, respectively, and Joshua Witsell (Jericho/Jericho, NY) added a double-double by scoring 13 points and grabbing a team high 13 rebounds.
Berkeley (2-0) will see its next action on November 20 against Albright College in the Albright College Tournament in Reading , PA.
