The New York women's basketball team cruised to a 76-19 win over Vaughn College in the first round of the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference playoffs and will play St. Joseph's College Saturday night in the semifinals.

The Knights were led by senior guard Rachel Thomas, who led all scorers with 21 points while adding 12 rebounds. She was joined in double figures by Aiyesha Brown with 17, Janay Thomas with 16, and Tierra Williams with 16 points. Junior forward Milan Germany dished out 11 assists for the Knights.

The win improves the team's record to 12-8 on the season and 5-1 in conference play.
