The Berkeley College New York women's soccer team competed in their first full squad intercollegiate varsity competition against Hudson Valley Conference opponent Yeshiva University on September 8, resulting in a 2-2 tie.
Berkeley was led by senior Tiffanie Vargas (Environmental Studies/New York, NY), who scored the first goal of the game on an assist from sophomore Karol Scott-Tracy (Moses Lake/Lyndhurst, NJ) to give the Knights the lead. Freshman Daisey Velez would net her first collegiate goal in the second half on an assist from junior Lauga Oskardottir (Wang Toppidrettsgymnas/Reykjavik, Iceland) to recapture the lead before Yeshiva would tie it.
Both teams are 0-0-1 in the Hudson Valley Conference.
