Freshman forward David Mugenga scored both goals for the Knights today against the College of Staten Island in a 2 to 0 shutout. Mugenga was responsible for six of the 11 goals the Knights scored against St. Joseph's College earlier in the week giving him eight goals in two games.Mugenga's first goal was scored at the 30:26 mark with a pass from sophomore midfielder Daisei Hiwaki. His second goal came eight minutes later as junior midfielder Claes Magnusson gave him a lead pass for a hard shot through the mouth of the net.
Sophomore goalkeeper Camilo Montes recorded his first shutout of the season while making seven saves.
The win improves the Knights record to 3-4 on the season. The Knights return to action this Wednesday against conference rival Vaughn College at 7 P.M. at Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn.
