MANUEL D'ALMEIDA HIRED AS WOMEN'S SOCCER COACH

Manuel d'Almeida has been hired as the first New York women's soccer coach in Berkeley College history.

Coach d'Almeida brings to Berkeley College more than 25 years of experience as a player-coach-referee specializing in women's soccer. He has previously coached at The Borough of Manhattan Community College, Marymount High School, and with several international clubs. He has also conducted numerous clinics for a variety of organizations and is a certified youth coach.

"We are delighted to add someone with coach d'Almeida's extensive experience, emphasis on teaching, and incredible passion for the game to our staff. I am confident that he will not only field a good team, but establish a program that will last for many years to come," said Brian Maher, athletic director at Berkeley College.

In addition to his extensive playing and coaching experience, Mr. d'Almeida was an IBM mainframe computer programmer with Citibank for 37 years.
