BARROW LEADS TEAM

The Berkeley College men's volleyball team defeated St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn 3-0 (25-20, 25-28, 25-23) to improve to 8-4 on the season.

The Knights were led by captain Keith Barrow (Bloomfield/Bloomfield, NJ), who nearly recorded a double-double finishing with a game-high 19 kills and eight digs. Berkeley also received contributions from Lucas Pucheta (Dr. Michael M. Krop/Miami, FL), who pounded 12 kills while recording four service aces, David Jimenez (Teaneck/Teaneck, NJ) with 37 assists, and Kevin Ortiz (Kearny/Kearny, NJ) with 3 service aces.

The Knights amassed 42 kills and had a .157 hitting percentage as a team while utilizing the serve to their advantage finishing with 11 service aces.
The team returns to action on Tuesday, April 2, against Webb Institute at 7 P.M.

MEN FALL TO KEAN

The men's volleyball team was swept by Kean University Wednesday night 3-0 to fall to 7-4 on the season. The Knights lost 25-17, 25-10, 25-18.

The Knights were led by freshman middle hitter Keith Barrow with 7 kills followed closely by freshman outside hitter Abel Cedeno with 6 kills and a .286 hitting percentage. The Knights managed only one service ace against 9 service errors for the match.

They return to action this Friday against St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn at 7:30 P.M.

VOLLEYBALL WINS


The Berkeley College men's volleyball team defeated Webb Institute 25-9, 25-15, 25-13 on Friday to improve to 7-3 on the season. In the team's seven wins, it has only given up two sets during the season.

The team was led by Abel Cedeno with 12 kills and a .421 hitting percentage along with 12 digs. Captain Keith Barrow had 11 kills, 10 assists, 7 digs, and 3 blocks and Cristian Vega and Eric Lourenco led the way with 6 and 4 aces, respectively.

The Knights square off against Kean University this Wednesday at 7 at Kean.

VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS TWO

The Berkeley College men's volleyball team defeated Yeshiva University in four sets and swept Sarah Lawrence College to improve to 6-3 on the season.

The Knights lost the first set of the match to Yeshiva 12-25 before rebounding to take the next three 25-13, 25-17,  25-19.

In the second match, the Knights won 25-21, 25-12, 25-21 over Sarah Lawrence.

The Knights were led by Abel Cedeno and Lucas Pucheta with 29 and 25 kills, respectively. David Jimenez compiled 66 assists and Kevin Ortiz served six aces to lead the Knights.

They return to action this Friday against Webb Institute at 7 P.M.

VOLLEYBALL IMPROVES TO 3-0


The New Jersey men's volleyball team improved to 3-0 on the season last night after defeating Sarah Lawrence College in straight sets, 25-13, 25-17, 25-16. The team was led by Lucas Pucheta, who managed 10 kills on a .381 hitting percentage.

Overall the team played poorly, managing only a .192 hitting percentage and only 4 aces with 13 service errors, yet still managed to walk away with the victory.

The team now heads to Bard College for the weekend and will square off against Keuka College and Sage College on Friday night, then Mount Saint Vincent and Bard College on Saturday.

NJ MEN'S VOLLEYBALL STARTS OFF 2-0

The Berkeley College New Jersey men's volleyball team defeated both Yeshiva University and St. Joseph's College today 3-0 to kick off their inaugural season at 2-0.

The Knights defeated Yeshiva University 25-19, 25-17, 26-24 and then defeated St. Joseph's College 25-13, 25-20, 25-14.

The Knights return to action on Wednesday, February 20 against Sarah Lawrence College.
