The New York men's soccer team continued their best start ever with a dominating 4-0 win over Lehman College to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Abdourahmane Gueye got the Knights on the board in the first half at the 25:35 mark. Dare Aniyikaye extended the lead at the 78:28 mark on an assist from Mathias Valle and then the Knights managed two goals in the final three minutes of regulation by Valle and Benjamin Adjei.
Camilo Montes earned his second shutout of the season with five saves. So far the Knights have scored 12 goals while giving up 4 on the season.
The Knights return to action on Wednesday when they host Webb Institute at 7 P.M. at Aviator Field.

NJ LOSES IN OT
The New Jersey men's soccer team lost their home opener to Albright College 4-3 in overtime marking the first time the Knights have lost at home.
The loss drops the Knights to 1-1-2 on the season despite being awarded two penalty kicks, one of which tied the game with no time remaining in regulation.
The Knights fell behind early in the second half at the 51:12 mark on a header off of a free kick. Just over a minute later a Knight was ejected from the match and the Knights played a man down the rest of the way. The Knights would benefit at the 63:38 mark on a foul in the box to even the game on a penalty kick by Ramon Arce.
The Knights looked as though they might walk away with a victory when they scored at the 75:11 mark by Emmanuel Awoyinfa on a loose ball in front of the net. Albright, however, would surprise the Knights with a goal in the 87th minute and then another with only 30 seconds left to take a 3-2 lead, but a penalty kick for a hand ball in the box with no time remaining in regulation allowed the Knights to send the match into overtime after Arce converted.
But only 2 minutes into OT Albright would score to win the match.
The Knights return to action on Monday against the College of Staten Island at 4 P.M. at CSI.

NY WINS THIRD STRAIGHT
The New York men's soccer team continued their good start with their third straight win, a 3-1 win over College of Staten Island, to improve to 3-1 on the season.
Dare Aniyikaye, Mathias Valle, and Abdelwahab Mohamed all scored for the Knights. Goalkeeper Camilo Montes made five saves for the win.
The Knights return to action on Saturday at 1 P.M. as they host Lehman College at Aviator Field in Brooklyn for their home opener.

NY DEFEATS SUNY ESF
The New York men's soccer team defeated SUNY ESF 2-0 to improve their record to 2-1 on the season.
The Knights were led by Dare Aniyikaye who scored both goals for the Knights. Goalkeeper Gustavo Moreno recorded a shutout for the Knights, his first of the season.

NJ TIES LANCASTER
The Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer team tied Lancaster Bible College 1-1 despite dominating the game in ball possession and shots on goal. Berkeley is now 1-1-1 on the season.
The Knights struck early with Ramon Arce (Bernardsville/Bernardsville, NJ) scoring 2:47 into the match on his own rebound. Lancaster would tie the match with a penalty kick at the 37:54 mark and would remain scoreless the rest of the way despite Berkeley outshooting Lancaster 24 to 11 and 9 to 4 in shots on goal.
The Knights were plagued with 18 foul calls against Lancaster's 9 and were hit with four yellow cards and a red card to none for Lancaster.
The Knights return to action with their first home game of the season against Albright College on September 14 at 7:30 P.M. at NJIT in Newark.

He struck first 30:14 into the game on a free kick just outside of 20 yards from the goal to give the Knights the early lead. He would extend that lead to 2-0 less than five minutes later on an assist from Victor Dorismond. Mohamed would then score the game winning goal at the 64:46 mark on an indirect kick from 35 yards out.
The Knights look to get above .500 when they travel up to Syracuse on September 7 for a noon match against SUNY ESF, a team they are 0-1-1 against in their brief history.

NJ SHOCKS RPI!
The Berkeley College New Jersey men's soccer team scored with only four seconds remaining in the first half and then held on to secure their first win of the season to improve to 1-1 on the season. The win secured second place in the Union College Classic for the Knights.
Junior defender Danny Vieceli (Kearny/Kearny, NJ) scored on a free kick from the left side at the 44:56 mark of the first half. Freshman goalkeeper Pierce Langlois (Mountain Lakes/Mountain Lakes, NJ) made 9 saves for the shutout. Langlois made 6 saves in the 1-0 loss to Union the day before meaning he now has 17 saves versus 1 goal on the season.
