NEW JERSEY MEN'S SOCCER LOSES HEARTBREAKER

Delmar, NY - The New Jersey men's soccer team lost to Sage College in overtime after giving up the tying goal with only 10 seconds remaining in regulation.

Berkeley scored the first goal of the match at the 79:14 mark as sophomore midfielder Ramon Arce (Bernardsville, NJ/Bernards) converted a strong pass from junior defender Paul Logan (Kearny, NJ/Kearny). Sage forced the overtime with just 10 seconds remaining in regulation as sophomore midfielder Austin Wilson (Frankfort, NY/Frankfort Schuyler Central) converted a feed from sophomore midfielder Kenny Barnes (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) at the 89:50 mark.


Sophomore goalie Thomas Frangieh (Newton, NJ/Newton) suffered the loss after making five saves in the action.


The loss drops the Knights to 0-2 on the season. They return to action on September 5 at 7:35 P.M. against The College of New Jersey.
