In a game marred by fouls and cards, the New Jersey men's soccer team competed valiantly against the #1 ranked team in the USCAA before falling 2-1 against Maine-Fort Kent.
The Knights fell behind 1-0 just before the half, but came out strong and tied it on a goal by William Cardenas at the 53rd minute to tie it. The Bengals would retake the lead just under six minutes later and would hold off the Knights to improve to 13-2 on the season.
The loss drops the Knights back to .500 at 6-6-2. They return to action Tuesday at Rowan University at 7.
