The Berkeley College New York men's soccer team defeated Sarah Lawrence College 6-1 in HVIAC Conference play to improve to 7-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference.
Sarah Lawrence got on the board first at the 19:05 mark to take the 1-0 lead. The Knights would tie it a little more than eight minutes later on a goal by Dare Aniyikaye assisted by Ahmet Colak. The teams would go into the half tied before Berkeley would explode with five unanswered goals, three of which came in the first ten minutes of the second half. Abdelwahab Mohamed would score twice and assist on another. Aniyikaye would add a second goal to his line for the night and Mathias Valle and Andrew Tuma-Waku would also find the back of the net. Tuma-Waku would add an assist and Colak would add a second assist.
The Knights would outshoot the Gryphons 28-3 and 13-1 on goal.
The Knights return to conference action on Saturday at 2 P.M. against Culinary Institute of America at home at Aviator Sports Complex.
