NY MEN WIN THIRD STRAIGHT
Four players scored in double figures as the New York men's basketball team scored a 99-24 victory over Pratt Institute to win their third consecutive game and improve to 4-0 in the Hudson Valley Conference.
Berkeley (9-6) jumped out to a 9-0 lead and held the Cannoneers to a single FG until two baskets in the final minute of the first half. The Knights defense limited Pratt to 16% field goal percentage for the game.
Junior guard Jovan Bovell (Jamaica, NY/Jamaica) led all Berkeley scorers with 21 points while junior center Elijah Craig (Brooklyn, NY/Seward Park) posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Knights return to the hardwood this Saturday at 7:30PM in a key conference matchup against longtime rival St. Joseph's College at Brooklyn Technical High School. This will be the second game of a doubleheader with the women's squads facing each other at 5:00PM.
