The New Jersey men’s basketball team defeated Vaughn College 90-56 to improve to 8-7 on the season, starting 2013 one game over .500 for the first time in program history.
Berkeley College took a commanding 30-5 lead in the first 10 plus minutes of action in the first half. The Knights would go into the half up, 43-24. In the second half, the Knights would extend their lead to as many as 39 with a 70-31 lead at the 10:32 marker. The final score was 90-56.
Freshman Darryl Robinson’s 27 points led the Knights on 11-18 from the field; he also added 10 rebounds and five steals. Senior Gary Williams added 19 points and three steals while freshman Andrew Tomlin chipped in with nine points, seven rebounds and five steals.
The Knights will hit the road and head to Southern Virginia University on Friday, January 11, 2013 to take on Williamson Trade.
