WOMEN TIE YESHIVA

The Berkeley College New York women's soccer team competed in their first full squad intercollegiate varsity competition against Hudson Valley Conference opponent Yeshiva University on September 8, resulting in a 2-2 tie.

Berkeley was led by senior Tiffanie Vargas (Environmental Studies/New York, NY), who scored the first goal of the game on an assist from sophomore Karol Scott-Tracy (Moses Lake/Lyndhurst, NJ) to give the Knights the lead. Freshman Daisey Velez would net her first collegiate goal in the second half on an assist from junior Lauga Oskardottir (Wang Toppidrettsgymnas/Reykjavik, Iceland) to recapture the lead before Yeshiva would tie it.

Both teams are 0-0-1 in the Hudson Valley Conference.
