NEW JERSEY POSTS SECOND WIN OF SEASON

Berkeley College's New Jersey men's basketball team posted their second win of the season to improve their record to 2-6 behind sophomore power forward Justin Savage's (so. Newark, NJ/Kearny Christian Academy) first double-double of the season. Savage totaled 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds and was named to the All-Tournament team.

The team defeated Penn State Brandywine 64-62 in the consolation game of the Heritage’s Dairy Stores Classic at Rowan University. In the first round on Friday, Berkeley lost to Gwynedd-Mercy by a score of 86-57.

Berkeley was led by forward Andrew Webber (fr. Columbus, OH/Thomas Worthington) with 16 points and nine rebounds. Guards Gary Williams (so. Jersey City, NJ/Marist) and Brandon Stewart (fr. Somerville, NJ/Somerville) contributed with 12 points apiece. Williams also registered six boards, three assists and three steals. Guard Justin Lewandowski (sr. Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) chipped in with nine points while forward Ramante Mosley (fr. Bridgeton, NJ/Bridgeton) grabbed nine rebounds.

The Knights next play at Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday.
